After breakfast we shall drive south towards to Queen Elizabeth National Park which is Uganda’s most famous most visited national park. Discover Queen Elizabeth National Park in the cool morning.

We go for a game drive that exposes us to diverse animals, Big 5 members Elephants, Buffaloes, big cats- Lions, Leopards more times in the evening, warthogs- Hunchback carnivals like Hyenas and many more species that are residents to this park are spotted along the Circuits as we drive along.

After lunch in the afternoon it is time for the 3pm boat-cruise on Kazinga channel, lasts 2 hours. Here you have the chance to spot hippos, buffaloes, crocodiles and more along the banks of the channel.  Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge

The following day we transfer through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the way to Bwindi, this area is known for its tree-climbing lions.

In Ishasha we will drive off in this adventurous vast savannah area with topi and the southern version of Elephants to hopefully get the Lions high in the fig tree branches. Continue the transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Dinner and overnight at Silver-back Lodge

Silver-back Lodge is perched on high, atop the valley overlooking Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The view is absolutely stunning and the best place to enjoy après-tracking cocktails. Bird watching and sometimes primate viewing is possible right from the front door of your room.

In Bwindi Forest there are currently only two populations of this subspecies still extant in the world. The mountain gorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) represents one of two known subspecies of the eastern gorilla.

One of these is found in the Virunga volcanic mountains of central Africa, and the other in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.

Ready with your hiking boots, rain gears, sun glasses, skin repellent, a hut, lunch box and drinking water, proceed to the park headquarters for briefing about the gorilla rules and the forest. The rangers will then accompany you to the starting point of your trek to search for the gentle giants.

The en-counter tends to take 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorilla movements and one hour is availed to you to have a direct touch with the gorillas.

Trekking to see mountain gorillas can involve some rigorous climbing and hiking, but then when you look straight face to face in the eyes of a mountain gorilla, all the fatigue is gone, observing them for 1 hour just a few meters from you is a great experience of a lifetime.

Mountain gorillas are always welcoming with silver back beating a little of his chest to demonstrate his might and also welcoming to you to the group.

The young gorillas are very playful and are at times not aware of the 7m rule thus can try to draw closer to even touching on your body.

After your one hour with gorillas, return to the park headquarters for your gorilla trekking certificate and retire back to your lodge. The next morning transfers back to Kampala for your flight back home.
